For the last few days, i have been trialling the system... (i wanted to get some definite results about its effectiveness)
But the real question does it work? And I will tell you
Right, as you might have noticed i have a new widget on the right side of my blog. Go on, have a look. Basically what happen is you put your blog's URL into BlogUpp's system and in return you get a quite stylish and minimalist widget. BlogUpp snapshots your blog to advertise in and also read your RSS feed regular to keep up to date with your lastest posts. The rule is that for every 10 blogs that get shared by your widget, your blog gets featured in 9 other widgets on other people's blogs. You might be now asking what happens to the last impression, that is used for advertising and for premium extra-promotion by bloggers for pay for a higher number of impressions. Your blog will also by promoted via the blog directory and 'content discovery toolbar'.
Another useful feature is 'Cross-Posting', once enabled it publishes your new blog posts to Facebook and Twitter. This means that you do not need to sign up to a separate site to automatically publish your new blog posts, some of which don't even work as i have found out. This makes it a sort of All-in-one system.
Obviously the 'free-ness' helps a lot as this is an incentive for more people to sign up and place a widget on their sites so therefore your blog's potential audience is increased greatly. You don't even have to sign up, just put in your URL and in return you get a bit of code to place in your blog, simple. This gives you the ability to 'Set-n-Forget' as they call it, which i like a lot
In conclusion, i try to keep my widgets to a minimum on my blog as they can clog up the sidebar and do slow down the time to load the page which can put off potential readers but this is an exception. BlogUpp's widget is a must have for all new, up-and-coming bloggers as it gives you simple and easy visitors to your site and if your content is interesting enough... you might increasing your returning audience
