You might be asking 'Why are you telling me this now?', Well i will tell you....
Well, tomorrow marks a huge milestone for the 4S... the release date. Apple started taking orders on the 7th and they sold a million in the first 24 hours!!!
During the announcement, many eager viewers and press personal couldn't hide their disappointed about a upgrade to the current 4th generation and not a new 5th generation

The design of the iPhone's casing is basically unchanged except from the repositioning of the antenna which will most like solve the antenna issues in the previous generation.
The main hardware changes to the new version is the upgrade of the A4 processor to the iPad's Dual-Core A5 processor. The improved CPU will improve three important aspects of the smartphone:
- Graphics - The new chip pushes the graphics up to seven times faster so apps will run smoother and more realistic
- Performance - This means that its has double the processing power so the iPhone is more responsive, pages load faster and apps generally run better
- Battery - The more power-efficient chip, along with the iOS 5, dramatically improves the battery life
- Notification Centre - A place to preview your latest texts, emails, reminders, facebook messages etc
- iMessage - This is Apple's version of BBM, it means that you can send unlimited messages to any iPhone, iPad or iPod running the new iOS5
- Twitter Integration - Being able to sign in to your twitter account under settings and tweet straight from Safari, Camera, Maps etc
- Reminders - A dedicated place to have a To-Do list
- Photo Editing - The ability to crop, enhance and remove red-eye from your photos, right on your iPhone
- Camera Enhancement - You can access your camera right from your lock screen
- Newsstand - All your newspaper and magazine apps are stored here, so you are able to keep up-to-date with the lastest news all in one place
- And many more....
iCloud is the easiest way to mange all of your content between your different Apple products. The iCloud stores all of your music, videos, apps, photos, contact, mail and much more and pushes them to all of your devices
Now for Siri. Siri is a voice recognition software that you can see to control your iPhone 4S. Apparently you can said "Remind me to call mum when i get home" or "Do i need an umbrella?", it will understand you and find the best app to find the answer or solve the problem... kind of like a personal assistant. The system can make phone calls, send messages, set reminders, schedules meetings and more
To be honest, i am a bit sceptical about how well this will work and i believe this will be the main feature that will 'make or break' this generation. Obviously the 4S is an improvement over the 4 but the size of the progess will be measured by Siri
The iPhone 4S is available, like normal, in black or white and starts retailing at £499 for the 16GB model, £599 for the 32GB model and £699 for the brand new 64GB model, a capacity that the tech world has been dying to see for a long time
I would love for my next blog post to be a hands-on review of the 4S, so if anyone would like to purchase one on my behalf i would be very grateful.....

The new iPhone is better than the rest of the iPhones, but worse than most of the droids. To bring out a new phone at this point in the smart phone game that does not have 4G is just unacceptable. Then Apple tells people it has a revolutionary antenna that will give them 4G speeds. Well, if they could do that then they should have put that antenna on a 4G phone and made it go at 5G speeds. And as for the voice recognition thing, no one is going to use that in public except the geekiest of the geeks.
Hey Israel,
Thanks for your opinions, the iPhone popularity is based more on the brand than value for money or technical specs, especially after the sad death of Steve Jobs. I also think the novelty of Siri will fade for the normal public... except geeks, like you said...
Thanks again, Zach
